You always buy a Victorinox knife that fulfills a certain need of yours, so for what this knife is and how well it blends in with my EDC I am absolutely happy with the product I received, it is a very simple knife and comes exactly as advertised, you get your blade, bottle opener, tweezerz and toothpick, absolutely fantastic for when you don't need a bulky knife hanging in your pocket like when you are just going out to a restaurant or to the mall, very very happy with this product and would highly recommed is you are looking for a small but handy knife for your EDC.

Schnelle Lieferung und Top Qualität

Da das Bantam-Messer eher schmal ist, würde ich empfehlen, den Ring auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite zu platzieren, da der Ring die Zugänglichkeit zu Zahnstocher und Pinzette doch erheblich erschwert (bei kleinen Sackmessern ist dies übrigens so gelöst). Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden und die Messerqualität ist wie gewohnt sehr gut.

Das „Bantam“ ist seit geraumer Zeit mein täglicher Begleiter. Es passt optimal in die Uhrentasche meiner Jeans.
Durch geringes Gewicht und geringe Dicke ist es beim
Tragen sehr komfortabel. Klar gibt es Messer mit mehr Funktionen, die dadurch natürlich auch grösser und schwerer werden. Diese Funktionen benötige ich aber in der Regel im täglichen Einsatz nicht unbedingt. Der Reiz dieses Messers liegt für mich in der Beschränkung auf wenige Grundfunktionen zugunsten der Mitführbarkeit. Ich wundere mich, wie oft ich dieses kleine Werkzeug doch einsetzen kann und möchte nicht mehr darauf verzichten.

El tamaño, diseño de herramientas y practicidad es asombrosamente adecuado en este modelo. Sin embargo, en la práctica he descubierto un pequeño inconveniente que le impide ser la navaja de bolsillo perfecta: al cerrar el abrebotellas, causa un ligero contacto con el filo de la punta de la navaja, ocurriendo así algunos casi imperceptibles daños, y esto no debería ocurrir. Este contacto al cierre, obedece a que uno normalmente tiende a presionar un poco el cuerpo de la navaja para poder cerrarla, y eso causa un ligero desvío de la navaja justo al momento del cierre del abrebotellas. No ocurre cada vez, pero sí es un evento que se presenta algunas veces y no es bueno para el filo de la navaja.

Un diseño fantástico, pero podría ser aun mejor.

The Compact model SAK is what I consider the best SAK ever made. The Bantom is the slimmed down version of the Compact, minus some great features. The Bantom has the Combo Tool and Main Blade, plus Toothpick and Tweezers, but is missing the scissors, pen, and pin in a slightly smaller package. 

I also have the Bantom Alox, but I wanted the Cellidor version to add to my collection. This is an easy EDC since it's a single layer. For those of you that don't use the Scissors tool, this is a better option compared to the Compact.

For under $20, the Bantom is easily justified. I have purchased the Bantom for friends and family, and also used them as stocking stuffers for my sons. IMO, the 84mm SAK is the perfect size for keychain EDC. I have zero regrets in buying the Bantom, whether Alox or Cellidor, and I'm confident you won't regret it either.

Can opener blade is extremely difficult to open. Main blade well designed and opens easily. Toothpick and tweezers function properly.

Victorinox Bantam is one of the cheapest and the most efficient Swiss Army Knife available. My first swiss army knife was the Wenger Evogrip 18, which I couldn't carry on me all the time. Then I bought the Victorinox Classic SD. I got the Bantam recently for about USD 8. It is single layered, medium sized with a large blade and a super combi tool. Though it is larger than the Classic, I could still leave it in my wallet and is now my everyday carry.

Best EDC ever!

A good choice for the minimalist who wants something extremely slim and light, but still needs a knife blade longer than the one offered on the 58mm models. This model, however, has fewer tools than the Waiter model, which is still only a single layer and doesn't change the weight at all, but it also adds a corkscrew on the bottom. Even if you don't use the corkscrew to open wine bottles, it is still useful as a way of storing a mini-screwdriver or for loosening knots and other tasks if you are creative. Also consider the 2-layer Compact model, which adds scissors, a ballpoint pen, a mini screwdriver, and a multipurpose hook with a nail file on it. The bottle opener works well as a flat-head screwdriver or for light-duty prying, and the toothpick and tweezers come in handy for many tasks. The major trade-off that one makes on a model like this is the lack of other tools like scissors and also having hardly any screwdriver capabilities.

Good, but fewer tools than the Waiter model for the same size and weight

I bought this knife just because it looked slim and was not expensive. It turned out that this became my most used knife. It has everything I need for a day to day use. The small form-factor and light weight makes it the perfect everyday carry for me. Also, if I lose it, it's not the end of the world. Only the small screw driver I miss from time to time.

Dieses Taschenmesser hat alles was man braucht für eine kleine Reise in der Stadt oder Back-Packing auf irgendwelchen Inseln. Ich konnte dank des Messers vieles reparieren, zurechtschneiden (SIM Karte) sowie meine Früchte zu einem guten Getränk genissen.

Klein aber OHO

Mittleres, stabiles Taschenmesser mit einer scharfen Klinge, die sich immer wieder problemlos nachschärfen lässt.
Passt in jede Tasche und ist Dauerbegleiter. Zum Schnitzen ebenso gut geeignet wie für den Alltagsgebrauch.
Würde mich freuen, wenn das Bantam in ferner Zukunft auch als alternative Variante mit Feststell-Klinge produziert werden würde.

Top Qualität zum kleinen Preis

A minimalistic knife, thin, light, small, yet big enough to cut some fruit. I had some doubts about the combination tool (can opener and bottle opener). Two different functions in one tool, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it was able to do both. The designers did a great job there. For hiking it is a bit too minimalistic, but for urban use it is perfect, not too intimidating for use in an office for example. The bantam is my edc for urban use.

This is a great knife for every day carry, fitting easily into anyone's pocket. Has basic functions you might use every day, large enough to get the job done yet small enough so you barely know it's in your pocket! If you don't need 100 different functions, this is your knife! ........................... A great value!
