The best knife I ever had!

I knew about Swiss Army Knives for many years, but never really looked much into them, until I decided to browse a store which sells them. At first I was surprised at how affordable they were based on their build quality. I had to have one so I looked through different models and the Tourist seemed to be the most balanced knife for what I was planning to use it for. I immediately started using most of the functions and it hasn't left my pocket ever since. 
They are also an amazing gift for friends and family considering how functional and sleek they are.

Well balanced

Great pocket knife. I carried this almost daily till I lost it :-( I like the tourist’s slightly smaller dimensions of the medium size range Swiss Army knives to pack everyday. Would have personally preferred a Phillips screw driver vs. the punch/awl combined with all the other tools, but otherwise perfect.

Ideales Geschenk auf Reisen

I have quite a few Swiss Army Knives, and they interchange  bit, but all are quite good at most tasks. Some lean more towards outdoor pursuits, others in certain trades or activities. But, it's really hard to beat what used to be called your Standard Swiss Army Knife, now known as the Spartan. It's built on the 91mm platform, and is a dandy little knife to carry, use and own.

Recently, my mainly carried Swiss Army Knife was my Sportsman II. It's a little smaller at 84mm, and just about right for everyday use. Only thing I wanted different was the nail file to be replaced with the small blade. I find the small blade feels like it has a finer edge, is sturdy, precise, and an extra blade is handy if one becomes dull or damaged. I usually keep the bigger blade clean for food, too.

Enter the Tourist. It's my preferred size of 84mm, carries all the standard tools and epitomizes all that is a Swiss Army Knife. You barely notice it in the pocket, but it's always ready to be put to work, saving the day. From driving screws, opening cans and bottles, making holes, sewing, cutting packages, whittling, ropework with the corkscrew, to pulling splinters, cleaning teeth, hobby work, food prep, camping tasks and more. You can't go wrong with this little red knife in your pocket.

The perfect Swiss Army Knife for everyday life.

I have purchased this knife especially for my 8 day trip through Europe few years back. It has proven to be very useful and the size plus lack of lock made me sure that I comply with the knife laws wherever I am.
Fit and finish are, as always, top notch, as are materials. Only minor setback is tool choice - I find nail file (or some other nail maintenance means) would be more useful than, say, small blade. In that regard, Sportsman model is superior.
As with all basic Victorinox knives, it is great value for the money, that will last you a lifetime.

Great knife for travellers

The Tourist Knife is excellent, it's handling, durability, shape, it could be the perfect start for a newcomer using a Victorinox knife, it was my first, and still as useful as always.

Very comfortable tool

Well I am a simple dad who works diligently to maintain his family. With what I was able to use this knife for is just the best investment I've ever made. I have a knife for situations where I need to cut or sharpen anything but I also got to use the tweezers I got with the knife because the same thing I was sharpening gave me a bad splinter. I also got to use the corkscrew because I had purchased some wine to end my very tiring day. I would recommend this knife to anyone and everyone.

Llevo 20 años con el y los últimos 12 siempre en mi bolsillo. Solo lo dejo para cojer un avion. Nunca me ha fallado, aunque si he tenido que afilarlo alguna vez, pero quien no lo ha tenido que hacer¿?¿?¿?.
Estoy deseoso de que pasen unos pocos años mas para hacerle este mismo regalo a mi hija y que lo ultilice siempre pensando en mi. Es un modelo sencillo pero eficaz. lo recomiendo a todos.
