Age restrictions

In France, the holding and carrying of knives in public is subject to specific legal provisions and restrictions.

In particular, the holding and carrying of a knife in public only is permitted if legitimate reasons can be provided.

Local restrictions may apply and prohibit the holding and carrying of a knife in places open to the public, regardless of legitimate reasons.

Further, the sale, purchase and possession of a knife is permitted, provided the person is at least 18 years old.

Please note that Victorinox takes all precautions and exercises all due diligence, including suitable age verification procedures, to ensure that knives are not sold to a person under the age of 18 on this website.

Deliveries (checks by DHL)

We will ship your order via DHL Express Verified Delivery Service. Please note that orders containing age-restricted products will require additional ID verification at the point of delivery. Please be ready to provide identification to the courier (for example, your passport, driving license or other valid ID card) to confirm that you are the same person who placed the order.

As you will need to verify that you are the same person who placed the order, you will need to be at the shipping address at the time of delivery. If you are not at the shipping address at the time of delivery, DHL will contact you to arrange another time slot for delivery. If DHL is still unable to deliver the item and you are not able to be contacted, the item will be returned to the warehouse as 'undeliverable', at which point your order will be refunded in full.

As you will need to verify you are the same person who placed the order, unfortunately DHL is unable to leave age-restricted items with another member of your household, or with a neighbour. DHL are also unable to deliver the item to a collection point or to a locker.

Please note that if you request delivery to an alternative address, you must be present at the alternative address at the time of delivery in order to provide proof of identification.
