The Company is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy concerns the entire online collection of personal data on this Site over the World Wide Web and describes how your personal data is collected and used and how the Company fulfills its obligations under applicable data protection law.

1.   Information we may collect from you

2.   Credit checks 

We perform any applicable credit checks as permitted by law and taking into consideration your protected interests. For this purpose, we provide the personal data required for a credit check to the contracted company CRIF AG, Hagenholzstr. 81, 8050 Zurich, from which we receive information about your previous payment history and credit information based on mathematical and statistical methods using address data. 


3.   Use of Cookies and Spyware

We never use or install spyware on your computer, nor do we use spyware to retrieve information from your computer.

Like many websites, we use “cookies”, which are files stored on your computer’s hard drive by your browser. Cookies help us to identify account holders and to optimize their site experience. 4.   Newsletter

By registering for the newsletter, you agree that your email address will be used by us for sending an email newsletter with information about products, promotions, contests, and news relating to Knives, Watches, Travel Gear, Apparel, and Fragrances as well as for our own promotional purposes. After placing an order and receiving the items, we allow you to submit purchase reviews. 

If you have consented to do so when registering for the newsletter, we evaluate which contents of the newsletter are of particular interest to our subscribers in order to optimize our offerings for the customer. In doing so, for example, values about the opening of specific content or the click behavior in the newsletter are recorded and evaluated as part of an individual profiling.

You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter on our website (in the MyProfile section). The link to the opt-out page can also be found in any newsletter.



5.   Usage of Analytics Software

This Site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Various web pages at www.victorinox.com contain embedded videos on YouTube. www.victorinox.com only enables connection to YouTube. YouTube is a service offered by Google Inc. 8.   Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored in, Germany according to all relevant security guidelines. By submitting your personal data you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology and we do not store any payment details; these are stored by the Payment Gateways, who are also obliged to treat their data according to all relevant security guidelines. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of this Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
