Vegetarian barbecue
Go, veggies, go!

Vegetables offer so much more variety, fun, and flavor than many people think. Eggplant, zucchini, bell peppers, asparagus and other vegetables can be prepared in so many sophisticated and tempting ways. They can be the BBQ appetizer, main course, and dessert. We’d like to wager that we can show you a whole new world of flavors that will excite and inspire you, and will never be boring.

Our secret: be creative when combining ingredients and be willing to do some serious “slicing and dicing” in your prep work. The motto is: The finer the cut, the more delicate the flavor. Small bite-size nibbles inspire you to happily try out a wide variety of treats. For a change, why not try some pumpkin or cabbage, or visit an Asian grocery store and be inspired by more exotic options. Green chilies, shiitake mushrooms and okra are just bursting with flavor. And you can do more with herbs such as oregano, thyme, or rosemary than just adding them to the food – try putting them on the coals to create aromatic smoke.

The ingredients for your vegetarian barbecue can be cut to perfection with a paring knife or, even better, a santoku knife. With the fine, sharp blade, your veggies can be sliced razor-thin – our Vegetable Knife Class will show you the best tips and how to use your knife like a pro. Go vegetables, go – even meat-loving BBQ fans will love all the flavors...
