I have it for more then 3 years now, Can anything beat this knife, the answer is no. 
There are many countries where different kind of blades are banned, but this one just fits almost all.
Fantastic built, strong, if you are travelling anywhere, i mean anywhere countries, cities, on road, walking, in car, forest etc and you have this one in your pocket then i would say i will feel quite comfortable have this in tool in my pocket, somewhere in my bag.

I have owned the Swiss Army Knife Trekker for over 10 years. I carry this knife almost every day in a belt sheath. Time and time again, this knife has proven to be both strong enough to handle the job task at hand, and durable enough to survive without damage. The large, lock blade is sharp and always capable. The saw is aggressive on small branches and the sharp spine will spark a ferro rod for fire starting. The other tools are handy and used often. Too large for most in terms of pocket carry, but very convenient when carried in a leather belt sheath. One of the best Swiss Army Knives I own.

Have used this model everyday I go on duty since it came out in 03. Out of the many other knives i own and use, this is my go to for Police work, has been used and abused for about anything you can associate with patrol  duties . Still rock solid as day one.  Highly recommended! For this type of activity.

Very useful as a duty knife for LE

I recently bought this knife and it’s perfect for camping, working or just day-to-day life. I really love it and definitely recommend. I wouldn’t have second thoughts on buying this again if I lost it!

La lame principale crantée fait double emploi avec la scie.
Dommage qu'à la place de la scie il n'y ait un crochet ou ciseaux.
Dommage également qu'il n'y ait pas de dénudeur de fil avec le poinçon.

Pas loin d'être parfait

Used this knife every work day for 9 consecutive months. I am a warehouse worker and used this blade to open boxes,cut thru boxes, cut off shrink wrap,cut foam,and several other tasks. It always functioned well even when it would get gummed up with tape residue.

I have owned a trekker since 1989...still love this knife.  Has never let me down and is as good as the day I got it.  I am a huge fan of quality, and these guys have it.

Long lasting

Excellent canif, idéal pour les sorties en forêt ou pour le simple citadin.
Si je le compare à d'autres modèles similaires, comme par exemple celui de l'armée suisse, il a le "défaut" de ne pas avoir la matière externe anti-glissante dans les mains, toutefois, il compense par le fait d'avoir en plus le cure-dents et la pincette.
Le cure-dents est très utile pour les repas à l'extérieur comme au restaurant, et la pincette est fortement utile lors des sorties en forêt, au cas où l'on doit s'ôter une écharde de bois dans la peau, ou alors également enlever un dard de guêpe après une piqure de celle-ci.
Je dirais pour résumer que tant ce modèle que le modèle rouge sont très recommandables.

Très bon canif

Wavy blade can cut through almost everything and blade is razor sharp out of the box. However, I did not like the wavy blade, so I ground it off and sharpened the whole thing once again, which is easy enough to do if you have the right tools. My only gripe is that the screwdriver and bottle opener lock instead of the folding saw. I hate that whenever I try to strike a ferrocerrium rod, the folding saw closes on me.

My version of the knife is not serrated blade( never like the serrated knife)
My go tool for camping and outdoor is:
 Swiss Tool Spirit XC,But if carrying extra weight is an issue this is next best tool to carry around.

Extremely useful

Normally I hate serrations but on this knife I don't mind them. My only gripe with this knife is the same as the Soldier model. The flat blade screwdriver locks instead of the saw. I'd prefer a locking saw because it is a cutting implement that I don't want folding during use and I also hate when it folds while I try to strike a ferro rod with it

Super couteau

I normally hate serrations on a blade because they put them on the portion of the blade you need to be a fine edge.  I bought this knife simply because they did it the right way  The only little spot for improvement I would say is when it comes to their saws.  They are still making them the same way they've been making them for decades, which is not bad, but could be improved by decreasing the kerf thickness and then bevel that to a slightly thinner spine a bit more (and angle the teeth back toward the hand for more bite on the pull stroke and it lets the push stroke clear the sawdust from the cut).  The crosscut on the saw itself is very nice and aggressive, but you will find you need to clear the cut and start again or just use light pressure the whole way through and it takes some more time in comparison with some other brands I have.  The screwdriver bits on this tool are very strong compared to other brands out there, (and it's always nice having a full phillips screwdriver head instead of a flat one). The awl that Victorinox makes is probably one of the best on any multi-tool you'll find.  I really like this Trekker and would have no issues with this being my EDC tool (which it will be for a while, and then I may pick up a Victorinox Rangergrip 58 Hunter).  As always, Victorinox steel is probably one of the more corrosion resistant you can find and very strong.  One little tip - the saw on mine came with little shavings still dangling from where they ground the teeth into it.  Just saw it through a little branch as soon as you get yours and it cleans that right up.  I saw this sitting in a local hardware store for a long time and my only regret was not buying it sooner.

Love this knife!

The saw has enough length  for being really useful and the waved blade cuts threw everything. The locking mechanism is nice and sturdy.
On the other hand, the one handed blade requires to much force and a pin to push would be easier than this narrow hole (mostly with gloves).

Real bushcraft knife

If you're looking for a functional knife that can be operated with one hand, this is it.  Light weight so it's not too bulky in your pocket and as sharp as anything out there.  I have about a dozen SAK's and this is the one I carry with me the most.  I highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for something a little larger.

It's a victorinox so you can't go wrong. Surprisingly light, it sits on the belt beautifully. Sharp and useful the one hand open blade is a thing of genius.

Another brilliant knife.

I have had this knife for several years and I use it every day and that is NOT an exaggeration.  The Trekker is the very best knife I have ever owned.  I have used if for everything from cutting wire to using the saw blade to cut a 2x4.  And I have yet had to sharpen it.

Never without this knife

Unless I missed something, this used to be the One Handed Trekker but a name change is no matter. This is probably the tool that has the best lot of tools, ease of use, and quality craftsmanship in the entire Victorinox line. One handed opening is a snap with the thumb hole. I'm getting another one is plain blade as well. Don't hesitate to buy one, you wont be sorry.
