First impressions are, it is a bright yellow! To be expected, but it is easy to see, and find.
The tools are all easy to open, no more digging to find the tool you want.  And being made by Victorinox,  it robust, and very well made.  The tools are of high drawer metal, as is the whole product.  
This is in the Swiss Army family!

Mon couteau a un défaut de montage, la lame scie ne se referme pas correctement et vient sur la platine qui est abimée…

Ich benutze seit ca. 20 Jahren Victorinox Messer und Tools und habe mir auch ein Rescue Tool zugelegt. Da ich in D lebe bin ich auch mit der Problematik der Einhandklinge konfrontiert worden. Nach einem Telefonat mit Victorinox habe ich mir einen Auftragsbogen ausgedruckt und zusammen mit dem Tool nach Victorinox geschickt, mit der Bitte um Änderung der Klinge. Nach ein paar Werktagen bekam ich mein Tool mit einer Zweihand-Klinge und der Einhandklinge separat beigepackt zurückgeschickt. Die geringen Reparaturkosten war es mir Wert und die Einhand-Problematik war kein Thema mehr.Tolles Tool.

Ich lebe in Deutschland und darf solch ein Messer leider nicht führen. Das ist sehr Schade. Bitte auch als Zweihandmesser zuf Verfügjng stdllen.

Schön, sehr stabil, aber … verflixt nochmal … warum wird das nicht endlich seitens Victorinox auch als ein in Deutschland zulässiges Zweihandmesser angeboten ??? 
Ich lese dutzendfach hierzu die Nachfragen.
Und das Taschenmesser müsste nicht für € 65 auf Amazon verschleudert werden (Stand 02.04.2023)

Ich hoffe echt, ich brauche es nie... Es ist top gearbeitet. Es scheint mir sehr durchdacht zu sein. Das Einklappen hat zuerst etwas gedauert, bis ich den Mechanismus herausgefunden habe.

couteau de très bonne qualité comme tout les objets Victorinox. le couteau super pratique on peut l'ouvrir d'un doigt.  pour le brise vires et le découpe pare-brise pas eu l'occasion de l'utiliser et j'espère ne devoir jamais l'utiliser.

Evidemment il faut avoir été en situation pour donner un avis vraiment objectif sur l'efficacité des outils de ce couteau.
Il reste que l'idée est excellente. Du moins, pour quiconque a envisagé qu'un jour il puisse rester coincé dans une voiture en feu, et, j'imagine, pour les pompiers et la police.
Le couteau s'ouvre vraiment facilement d'une main, avec le pouce, et sa lame est très tranchante. L'autre lame et la scie s'ouvrent aussi facilement grâce aux ergots qui dépassent la longueur du manche. Le manche, s'il a été sous la lumière, est vraiment luminescent, et pas qu'un peu (encore faut-il qu'il ait été sous la lumière).
Mon seul regret : les deux pièces à remplacer à chaque utilisation (le brise-vitre et la scie) ne sont pas vendues sur la boutique, et mon courrier au service clients à ce sujet reste sans réponse.

Habe dieses "Messer" schon seit einigen Jahren. Hat seinen festen Platz, griffbereit in der Türablage im Fahrzeug. Hab's noch nie gebraucht, ist aber in gewisser Weise beruhigend, zu wissen, dass es da liegt.

I like to keep the car prepped, so I bought this one to complement my roadside emergency kit. It's a cool knife for sure, and I think it would be great to have in the event of a major accident. Yet as a multi-tool to keep in your car for everyday needs, I'm not sure it's the right choice. It lacks some basics, like scissors. When I gifted my brother a knife for his car, I decided the Hercules was the better model because the scissors and pliers seemed more useful for normal everyday needs.

Es una muy buena opción para navaja de rescate. Estaría bien que incluyese un sacacorchos, la haría más completa, pudiendo añadir 3 funciones más en poco espacio (sacacorchos, minidestornillador y alfiler) para mi con eso ya sería perfecta. En cuanto al punzón escariador sin ojal, no sé si realmente es mejor que lo lleve o no

comme tous les couteaux de la marque chaque outil est bien conçu, solide et fonctionne à merveille.
Il vient de prendre sa place dans la voiture,  fixé dans le vide poche à l'avant entre le siège conducteur et le siège passager.

Perfektes Tool für unterwegs

Got this knife for my birthday slightly over a year ago.
I can't say much about all the tools (luckily), but the knife is extremely sharp and cuts with ease.
The screwdriver is in a good position.
Holster is good with a big loop for all belt sizes. I've also seen people adding zip ties to have a tighter fit, or to hold it horizontally.
It's a classic in the first responder domain; you won't see ten of them without at least one wearing this tool (in Switzerland, at least).
It has the tools for saving people, but also the basics you can need on a daily base.

Ich führe das Teil schon seit Jahren im Auto mit. Obwohl ich noch nie eine Scheibe zerlegen musste, hat mir das Messer schon einige gute Dienste unterwegs geleistet. Vorallem die stabile Einhandklinge ist beinahe unzerstörbar.

For me, I am fortunate that I have never had to use this tool in an emergency.  However, it is good to know that I have the quality and versatility of this rescue tool at my disposal should the need ever arise.  I was a Boy Scout growing up and still practice their motto of “Be Prepared” and I am with Rescue Tool.

Als rescue tool sehr gut geeignet. Das Werkzeug hält was es verspricht. Zertrümmert Scheiben und durchtrennt Windschutzscheiben. Im Einsatz erprobt.

Einsatzfähig

Das Rescue Tool ist wohl das beste Rettungstool, welches es aktuell auf dem Markt gibt. Es überzeugt durch sein robustes Auftreten auch bei den härtesten Einsätzen, nicht zu letzt aber kann es auch in Punkt Design bestens mithalten. Alles in allem, ist das RescueTool für mich der ideale Begleiter ob im Alltag oder auch bei langen Autofahrten, mit ihm an meiner Seite, bin ich immer auf alle Eventualitäten vorbereitet.

This rescue tool is really clever in nearly all aspects. The window breaker and the window saw are made really well and apparently you can change them. luckily i've not had to use them. whats missing is a safe belt cutter, sure you can use the saw-like blade but  "closed" type would be better.

Best rescue tool I've tried

A friend of mine survived an accident in her car, not in the last place because she had the gear to get him out of it quickly enough...
Realising I didn't really have anything in my car to help me I went on a search...which ended when I got my hands on this one. A very sturdy, very purposeful instrument that perfectly does what it was made to do.

Another big plus is the exchangeable parts, when in doubt, take them out and you'll end up with an as good as new kit.

Apart from that, it turned out to be a very handy tool to have in reach...even just for that apple or thoroughly packed package that won't open:-)

You hope you'll never really need it...

Lavoro come Infemiere Professionista Specializzato in Emergenza extraospedaliera in Italia - 118 (e ho fatto anche stage in Svizzera presso i bravi e gentilissimi colleghi di "Tre Valli Soccorso"). Giusto Venerdì 3 Luglio ero in servizio in collina e siamo stati chiamati per soccorrere una persona incastrata all'interno di un furgono ribaltato, cui era impossibile accedere dagli sportelli. Seguendo le vostre istruzioni video ho spaccato il vetro anteriore e segato via una porzione, per poi togliere tutto il parabrezza e di seguito soccorrere il malcapitato. i Vigli del Fuoco sono arrivati a lavoro svolto e mi hanno aiutato moltissimo per il resto delle operazioni, ma il vostro strumento ha aiutato sicuramente il mio lavoro e il pronto intervento sul paziente. Soddisfatissimo!

perfect for rescue!

I have had this knife for years, and I carry it every days. I bought it for work 9 or 10 years ago. It has seen better day but is still a great knife. And, yes I use it for rescue work. Unfortunately I wore out the window breaker, but none the less I love this knife. If you work in EMS you should get one.

I Love Mine

Victorinox gave excelled again and probably produced the best knife tool combination yet. The one hand blade is very sharp as are the belt cutter and circular saw. The screwdriver locks in place when fully opened.

I was given the RescueTool as a gift and I intend to keep it in the car. I sincerely hope that I will never have to use it. The knife came with a very nice carrying pouch which hopefully will protect it for years to come.

The best yet.

This is a great knife, great features, but under UK law it its not legal to carry on your person or in your vehicle due to the locking blade.
It is possible to disable the lock feature, but it lessens the security.
It is legal to carry if it is part of your trade, so emergency services, first responders etc are the main UK market.
I use it in the course of my emergency response work, or should I say I hope I will never use it.

Hopefully I'll never know how good it is.

Deuxième couteau victorinox et toujours aussi content de la qualité, le tranchant irréprochable la robustesse à grande épreuve j ai soulevé en faisant levier , acec le tournevis fort, une porte pour la sortir de ses gongs pour la scie à pare brise ma servie pour couper une branche assez conséquente, je m'en sépare plus, je le recommande vivement même si le prix a certain endroit peu être vraiment exagérer ( 97€ pour ma part )

Je viens de tester ce couteau sur un pare-brise usagé dans le but de le découper et le résultat est concluant. Par contre, pour arriver à le perforer avec le brise-vitre, l'effort à fournir est relativement important et il faut taper franchement en serrant bien le couteau. L'utilisation de gants me paraît vivement recommandée pour ne pas dire obligatoire pour tenir le couteau et ne pas se blesser. La découpe est ensuite relativement facile et surtout efficace.
Pour le reste des options, on retrouve la qualité Victorinox et l'excellent tranchant des lames.
Dernier point, les accessoires sont solides et on peut vraiment les utiliser avec force sans les plier.

Una herramienta fuera de serie

La compré para cargarla en el vehículo, por dicha, no la he utilizado para rescate, y siempre reviso su estado. Es muy buena para el camping. Fue una excelente adquisicion, y la recomiendo a mis amigos.

This is a very sturdy and good tool.

However, I have some issues with it:
Most importantly, I'm a person with really short fingernails. While the saw, seat cutter, main blade and screw driver can be opened without using fingernails, the other tools require them to be opened. And that especially bothers me for the crate opener tool - but I think it'd be best if all the tools could be opened without fingernails or with gloves on.

I'm also wondering if perhaps a (removable) strong magnet or IR thermometer or LED or even just some repository for sturdy wire or such wouldn't be a better match for the sides of this knife than the standard pincers and plastic toothpick, which seem to be of not so much use to me.

Excellent, but some tools inoperable with very short fingernails or gloves.

Last winter I was snowmobiling along when I missed a turn and ended up sliding into a tree well. My snowmobile hit the tree, and broke off the start switch. I spent hours trying to get it out, and it was starting to get dark. I was miles away from the nearest cabin, and having no cell reception couldn't call for help. Luckily, I had my swiss army knife with me. I was able to use my knife to fix the switch, and was able to ride back to my cabin. Ever since I carry this knife with me everywhere I go. The locking blade is an excellent feature, keeping the blade from closing on your fingers and slicing them open. Luckily I haven't had to use the window breaker or seatbelt saw, but the rest of the tools all are highly functional and useful. The serrated allows you to cut through many different surfaces much more easily. I love this knife, and have used it for everything you could think of.

Very impressed! Excellent quality! A must have in every vehicle on the road! I just hope I never have to use it for its intended original design & purpose! Everything you could ever want or need in an emergency! Glow in the dark shell grips and sheath makes it very good to find in the glove box, under the car seat in seconds. Very easy to use! Just remember, VERY SHARP BLADES! 10 out of 10!

ich benutze das tool nun schon seit gut 6 jahren tag täglich in meinen job und hab den kauf nie bereut!

I got this knife for Christmas And i love it the blade is very sharp i cut my self with it the first time i opened it.

The Quality is great!!!

My wife bought the black handled version for my birthday about two years ago and I can honestly say that I use it every day. At work, my boss frequently asks if he can use my knife. I also have the extra confidence that if necessary, I can cut through windshields with the saw or break auto safety glass with the integral (and replaceable) punch. The seatbelt cutter is also a useful extra, although the serrated knife blade would also make short work of a seatbelt. Last winter, I flew to DC with my father-in-law and because of TSA rules, I had to leave it at home. I realized when we got there how much I missed having it with me. I carry it everywhere.

A Lifesaver

As a professional firefighter, I carried many knives, leatherman, Gerber, spyderco.
Then Victorinox brought out this Rescue knife and after viewing it in store I bought one, it is the only knife I carry now, 24/7.
I dont leave home without it. With this knife and the "Stanley Fubar 3" I carry in my car I feel prepared for any situation that occurs prior to first response arriving on scene.
If there is a downside it is the window breaker which from time to time comes loose, other than that I have nothing but praise for this knife.
in fact it should be standard issue to all emergency workers.
