My perfect SAK would be a "Sportsman" with scissors. The Evo14 is the closest to that. I use every tool on this knife. Not everyday of course, but often enough to keep them close at hand. The quality is superior for my needs. Im trying to get used to the thick scales, but its a trade off Im willing to make to have the these specific tools. It definitely fits me better than the compact I just purchased.
You can't go wrong with Victorinox!

Exactly the tool set I need

So perfection is basically when your SAK has all you need & is still pocket friendly. The Evolution 14 offers you that. I have many SAKs & most of the Evolution models & I find this one offers the complete package for city life. Go for it..

Pocketable Perfetion

J'ai acheté ce couteau pour remplacer mon Wenger à l'identique. Le Victorinox est légèrement plus épais et son toucher n'est pas agréable du fait que les platines latérales ne sont pas à la hauteur des lames. Je préférais l'ouvre boîte de chez Wenger. L'ouverture du poinçon est difficile.
Le tranchant et les ciseaux sont cependant excellents.

What can be said about this wonderful little tool? It has all the features you need. A sharp, flat ground stainless steel blade with lots of belly. A great slicer. Opposite that is a very much welcomed nail tool, with an easy to use file, and a great cleaning tip. I’ve even found other uses for it! At the far side of the tool from that layer are the opener tools. The bottle opener is also a large screwdriver that locks under pressure to prevent the tool closing on your fingers. It also features a wire stripper/bender that has untold potential. I’ve missed pliers less and less the more I figure out ways to get that notch involved. At the other end of this layer is the ever handy Victorinox can opener! Not only does it open cans, but it turns slotted, Phillips and even some Robertson and torx screws! Sandwiched in between these layers are the fantastic Delémont variation of the scissors. They are serrated, stay VERY sharp, and there is no small leaf spring in the scissors to bend or damage. It uses an action bar that works off of the backspring that opens and closes the scissors. Genius! Those Swiss are so smart. As you turn your attention to the back of the knife, you’ll find two other tools. One is the awl/reamer/punch with sewing eye. It can drill/enlarge holes in most softer materials, like wood, plastic, leather, etc. It can also sew things like canvas, rubber, burlap, wool blankets, etc. The sharpened edge is also a great scraper, secondary blade, cuticle cutter, etc. Good pick, too! Next to that is the typical corkscrew, but don’t typecast it. It’s also a wonderful marlinspike of sorts, handy at picking apart tight knots, digging out drywall anchors, end caps on handlebars, pulling rope to tighten knots, screwing into wood to carry it, etc. As if all of this weren’t enough, you can also get a small eyeglass screwdriver that stows in the corkscrew! With that exhaustive list, you’d be fair to be surprised if I told you there was more. But, there is! Those lovely Evolution scales in gleaming red Cellidor are so comfortable and secure feeling. And yet, they  have a secret. Lurking beneath those works of art are even more tools, namely the toothpick and tweezers. The toothpick does exactly what it says. However, it can also clean lint and debris from the inside of the knife and its joints. The tweezers are perfect for splinters, thorns, ticks, stingers, and errant hairs. And if your cellphone has a radio tuner, you can put them into the headphone jack, and it works as an antenna, allowing you to play music through the speaker! All in all, a superb multi tool that will help you succeed in this life. Can’t go wrong.

Useful and comfortable.

Das Evolution 14 von Victorinox hat, für Reise- und Urlaubsgebrauch, definitiv die brauchbarste Taschenmesser-Werkzeug-Kombination! Alles was man auf der Reise so braucht: Messer, Schere, Nagelfeile, Korkenzieher, Flaschen-/Dosenöffner, Schraubendreher, Pinzette u.A.
Und ich weiß auch nicht, was manche Rezensenten gegen den von Wenger patentierten und nun von Victorinox übernommenen Klappscherenmechanismus und die Mikrozahnung der Schere haben? Die Schere funktioniert wirklich einwandfrei ist sehr präzise, auch flache Schnitte wie z.B. überstehende Haut am Finger lassen sich damit exakt durchführen und ist im Gegensatz zur Schere mit Federmechanismus einfach unverwüstlich. Es stört überhaupt nicht, das sich die beiden Schenkel der Schere beim Schneiden gegeneinander bewegen und die Mikrozahnung macht die Schnittkante zwar etwas "riffeliger" aber dafür ist die Schere an schwierigen Schnittstellen oder z.B. auch an Haut wesentlich griffiger als ohne Mikrozahnung.
Diese, patentierte Taschenmesserschere gibt es nur am Evolution und in etwas kleinerer Version auch am Executive und auch deshalb habe ich mir genau diese beiden Messer zugelegt!

Beste Taschenmesser-Werkzeug-Kombination für den Reise-/Urlaubsgebrauch !

For me contains every tool that I want and none that I don’t. Would prefer to see this design with the slimmer standard Victorinox 84mm scales. The shaping of the scales don’t really offer any advantage for me.

A bit of a fatty

Couteau rustique et robuste. Après 5 ans d'utilisation, il n'a pas bougé. Je lui ai rajouté le tournevis/tire bouchon parfait pour le bricolage comme les vis de lunettes et un étui en cuir afin de la protéger des saletés + un lacet ! Les ciseaux sont vraiment un plus mais 2 lames sont peut utiles comme la pointe et le cure-ongle.

Parfait et costaud

I think this is one of the best knives/pocket tools in their inventory. I’ve carried it for some time now and it’s always come in handy. Blade is sharp and all the tools work better than expected. The can opener works great on Phillips screws in a pinch. The scissors cut great and it’s the perfect size. Also the nail file has come in handy more times than one would expect and it’s been a welcomed surprise.

Das Original Schweizer Taschenmesser. Gute Qualität wie man es von Victorinox gewohnt ist. Scharfe klingen robust zusammen montieren sehr gut.
