Recycling and proper disposal

Like any other items, our products must also be properly disposed of or recycled when they can no longer be repaired or used.

The symbol of the crossed-out garbage can indicates that electrical or electronic appliances or used batteries that have reached the end of their life cycle must not be disposed of together with regular household waste, but should be collected separately so that they can be reused, recycled, or otherwise processed.

By disposing of products like these in the correct way, you can make a contribution toward min-imizing potential environmental or health risks.

Pocket knives

The main body of the knife can be given to the scrap metal recycling station and the scales can be disposed of in your household waste or the plastic waste. Electronic components should be disposed of at the electronic waste collection point and the battery at the battery recycling station.

Removing scales

Most scales on pocket knives and multi-tools are made of plastic and are centered and attached using rosette press studs. That makes it simple for the user to remove them. Insert a narrow blade between the scale and the body of the knife. Then tilt the blade upwards slightly to release the scale from the rosette stud. Repeat this process from all sides to fully separate both scales from the body of the knife.

Pocket knives with electronic components

The electronics in the Traveller and the LED in the Classic models are integrated into the scales and it is easy to remove them from the body of the knife. The USB drive is only clipped into the body of the knife, which means it can also be removed easily. We would like to emphasize that you are solely responsible for deleting any personal data stored on old devices which are ready for disposal (for example on a USB stick).

Household and professional knives

Never dispose of a kitchen knife in your household waste. Even blunt blades still pose a high risk of injury.

Dispose of your used household and professional knives at the scrap metal collection point.

Victorinox watches

Watches must not be disposed of in household waste, they should be taken to the special collection point for electronic waste and batteries. You can also hand in your used watches and batteries to your retailer, who will ensure they are disposed of properly.

Depending on the size of your luggage item, you can dispose of it in your household waste or by taking it to the special collection point for bulky items.

Before disposing of the luggage item, remove any built-in electronic components and dispose of them at the special collection point for such items.

Removing a USB cable

1. Pull the USB cable through the lining

2. Loosen all the screws (above and below the adjustable handle)

3. Pull adjustable handle and USB cable out of the case

4. Remove all the screws in the handle

5. Remove the USB cable from the handle

Fragrances

Recycle an empty flacon at the used glass collection point.
