About Victorinox The cutler Karl Elsener founded Victorinox in 1884 in Ibach near Schwyz, where the head office is still located today. The family-owned company is active in more than 130 countries worldwide, with around 1,800 employees and eight branches. As a multi-product brand, Victorinox produces quality products for various areas of life: pocket knives, domestic and professional cutlery, watches, travel gear, clothing and fragrances. Common to all of these products is the spirit of the Swiss Officer and Sports Knife, which was promptly rechristened as the Swiss Army Knife by the GIs stationed in Europe, who made it popular in America after the Second World War. Under the motto “Companion for life”, Victorinox aims to accompany and enrich the daily lives of its customers with creative products. In 2009, Victorinox was awarded the Fairness Prize for its model personnel management.
